Sponsor Letter

Dear Adopt-A-Child sponsor,

The Linden Fund USA previously announced its collaboration with the Linden Care Foundation in the launching of an Adopt-A-Child program in the Linden community. We are pleased to announce that the joint pilot project was launched in April, during Town Week 2006. To this end we have committed to the children of Linden and the Linden Care Foundation (LCF) that this project will begin on the 2nd August, 2006.

This one-year pilot project will support an initial 20 children who are identified as vulnerable, in difficult economic circumstances, and underprivileged. Under the program, each child will receive support of $300US in a nutritional enhancement program and a life skills program, developed and administered by the Linden Care Foundation, an established agency in Linden, currently funded by several international aid organizations, under the leadership of Mrs. Hazel Maxwell-Benn.

The goal is to serve approximately 300 children over the next 5 years and to match sponsors in the USA with a child that falls into the category described above.
Sponsorship, either as an individual or a family, can make a tangible difference in the life of a child, between the ages of 3 years 9 months and 11 years old, who needs critical support to remain and flourish in pre-school and primary school. Research shows that early intervention and support in non-academic areas can make a critical difference in later development and academic success.

The accompanying Sponsorship Agreement forms the details of the responsibilities and obligations of both the sponsor and the Linden Fund USA, as it relates to funding and deadlines for this project. However, sponsors may choose to contribute in any other way that enhances the welfare of the sponsored child.

We urge your support of the children of Linden in this Adopt-A-Child program. For approximately $25US per month, a child can get critically needed support to succeed!

All contributions are tax-deductible.
