Linden Fund USA’s quarter-century milestone has been celebrated throughout the year, with a series of events held in Linden during the 2024 Linden Town Week and in July-August. Author Focus – Sherene Noble
Congratulations to Sherene Noble, a dedicated daughter of the soil who is recognized for her contributions as an educator and a writer. She garnered second prize in the 2018 Guyana Cultural Association Godfrey Chin Prize for Heritage Journalism for her impactful series on the blog, rootsandeduculture.wordpress.com. She’s also self-published Intertwined, a collection of short stories exploring the interconnectedness of human actions and their ripple effects on the lives of others.
Best Wishes for a Productive School Year to Students in Linden and Region 10
The upcoming 2024-2025 Cohort of our Eustace "Sammy" David Scholarship for Success program (SfS) will be selected from among the Grade 7 students beginning their secondary education. The selected students will be announced in the coming months. Each year, SfS provides support to 35 secondary school students in Linden and Kwakwani. LFU also provides support to primary school students in Christiansburg and Ituni, and vocational students at Linden Technical Institute.
